LD2410S Sensor
Component/Hub
Section titled “Component/Hub”The ld2410s component allows you to use the HI-LINK LD2410S presence radar with ESPHome. It is a lower-power
relative of the LD2410 that reports presence over a serial connection.
The UART is required to be set up in your configuration for this sensor to work; baud_rate,
parity and stop_bits must be respectively 115200, NONE and 1. Use of a hardware UART is recommended.
# Example configuration entryld2410s:Configuration Variables
Section titled “Configuration Variables”- uart_id (Optional, ID): Manually specify the ID of the UART Component, which is necessary if you have multiple UARTs defined in your configuration.
- id (Optional, ID): Manually specify the ID for this component.
At start the component reads the module’s firmware version and settings, then switches it to its minimal output mode, in which the module only reports presence and distance. If the module stops sending data for five seconds the component raises a warning and runs the setup again.
Binary Sensor
Section titled “Binary Sensor”binary_sensor: - platform: ld2410s has_target: name: PresenceConfiguration Variables
Section titled “Configuration Variables”- has_target (Optional): True while the module detects a target. All options from Binary Sensor.
- ld2410s_id (Optional, ID): Manually specify the ID of the
ld2410scomponent, which is necessary if you have more than one.
Sensor
Section titled “Sensor”sensor: - platform: ld2410s distance: name: DistanceConfiguration Variables
Section titled “Configuration Variables”- distance (Required): The distance to the detected target in cm,
0while there is no target. All options from Sensor. - ld2410s_id (Optional, ID): Manually specify the ID of the
ld2410scomponent, which is necessary if you have more than one.
Text Sensor
Section titled “Text Sensor”text_sensor: - platform: ld2410s version: name: FirmwareConfiguration Variables
Section titled “Configuration Variables”- version (Required): The firmware version of the module, read once at start. All options from Text Sensor.
- ld2410s_id (Optional, ID): Manually specify the ID of the
ld2410scomponent, which is necessary if you have more than one.
Number
Section titled “Number”The module’s settings are read at start and written back whenever one of them is changed.
number: - platform: ld2410s max_distance: name: Max Distance min_distance: name: Min Distance no_delay: name: No Delay status_reporting_frequency: name: Status Reporting Frequency distance_reporting_frequency: name: Distance Reporting FrequencyConfiguration Variables
Section titled “Configuration Variables”- max_distance (Optional): The farthest distance at which a target is detected, in steps of
0.7m up to11.2m. All options from Number. - min_distance (Optional): The nearest distance at which a target is detected, in steps of
0.7m. All options from Number. - no_delay (Optional): How long the module keeps reporting a target after it left, from
1to120s. All options from Number. - status_reporting_frequency (Optional): How often the module reports presence, from
0.5to8Hz. All options from Number. - distance_reporting_frequency (Optional): How often the module reports the distance, from
0.5to8Hz. All options from Number. - ld2410s_id (Optional, ID): Manually specify the ID of the
ld2410scomponent, which is necessary if you have more than one.
Select
Section titled “Select”select: - platform: ld2410s response_speed: name: Response SpeedConfiguration Variables
Section titled “Configuration Variables”- response_speed (Required): How quickly the module reacts to a change,
NormalorFast. All options from Select. - ld2410s_id (Optional, ID): Manually specify the ID of the
ld2410scomponent, which is necessary if you have more than one.
